Where it all began..

Whitton Junior Netball Club was started in 2003 with the help of the Richmond Sports Development team and the Active Sports Program. Our founders Maggie and Peta ran the club for just under 20 years and helped it grow to what it is today.

About the club

Whitton Juniors provides weekly high quality Netball coaching with skills, drills and match play in a friendly, safe and enjoyable environment.  All senior coaches are qualified and are DBS checked.

We value the club’s ethos which is to encourage girls of all abilities and backgrounds to enjoy the game to the full and develop to their potential. Once they have been accepted as members of the club we encourage girls to carry on to U16. Our only condition is that they attend regularly, are available for matches and show a positive attitude and willingness to learn.  All girls will have the opportunity to play in some fixtures over the season.

Our under 11s all follow the High Five programme as recommended by England Netball.  This ensures the girls get a good grounding in all court positions and tactics.

We belong to the Surrey League which involves Sunday matches across the season over the year. We welcome the support of parents at these matches and many get very good at scoring! Such is the popularity of netball now that the league is full and our club is oversubscribed in some age groups.

Our club has been well represented in the London Youth and Mini games.  A number of girls have attended the Satellite Academies and the County Academies and several have gone forward to regional training.

We believe that great friendships are made with other girls who share a love of netball and want to continue to provide this to as many girls as possible.
